It is not Trump’s fault.2/1/2017 Following the news these past few days, got me thinking: It is not his fault. Yes, you read it right. I mean, he gave us a head’s up right? Remember when he was running for president? Remember when he was shouting all these crazy things such as: ‘I am going to built a wall’, ‘America first’, or ‘I will ban Muslims from entering the USA’, and other things that sounded like crazy talk (and still is). Well, guess what?
People were actually listening, some were supporting that agenda and the political system in the USA approved it, which led to his victory. And like any administration: once you get elected you have to deliver on your promises. Don't get me wrong, I do not support his agenda nor am I pointing the finger at someone. I am merely trying to understand this situation. I have been reading different news outlets and watching live feeds just to grasp reality (cause honestly, sometimes it feels like I am in a movie or something) Every single time I asked myself: ‘How did we get here?’ I tried answering that question. Here it is: Though I am not an experts in politics, I can vouch that a big part of the current situation is about propaganda, money and profit. It is all a game, all business without even considering the fact that we are dealing with humans, lives and families. So it is a political system and Trump is their puppet who is doing the talking and the signing. The technique that he uses to get the results needed is fear based. He would spread fear into everything that is different than how he and his followers think, which I believe to be the root cause of the how the hell did we get here question? We fear what we do not know or understand. Which undoubtedly means that fear will always be there. We can choose to engage with it or if we can choose to see it and go beyond it. Drowning it out is actually pretty easy, we have just been conditioned to believe otherwise. Our society has made being in fear a habit. (That's why it works so well) Kids are brought up with it and as we grow we continue to take in the bad news on TV and the horror in the newspapers and the violence in books and films and don’t get me started on the video games and all this junk that fills us with fear about our world. We are taught to play it safe and not take risks, and to caution everyone around us to follow suit. If there is something I can give you today then it is this: DO NOT LIFE IN FEAR. No greatness nor happiness is there to be found. So whenever you feel afraid, accept your feeling and face your fears with the truth: they are all in your mind. Fear itself is all made up because it has not even happened yet. Turn the fear around by being comfortable about the unknown. How? Have faith.
